Pale winter matte skin is getting a boost of autumnal berry shades. At Roksanda, make-up artist Lucia Pica applied a mix of berry creams to lips, against a flawless canvas. Val Garland layered pencils and gloss at Erdem (above) to create a blue/red ‘smouldering’ lip. “This lip is Blue Dahlia-inspired, evoking 30s Hollywood Boulevard,” said the make-up maestro. At Gareth Pugh, Garland’s blended tomato and blue tone was coated in gloss, and at Antonio Berardi she painted lips in plum to match aubergine mascara, again smothering lips in gloss. Over at Christopher Kane, Lucia Pieroni mixed cherry lip hues, blending from the centre of the lip for a blown-out effect, confirming one of the catwalk’s juiciest trends.
