Geometry rules

Day three of LFW was a lesson in perfect geometry. On the runway at Anya Hindmarch, where models walked through a Gameboy-style staging of multicoloured pixels, manicurist Marian Newman left a square of nail unpainted, and make-up artist Val Garland slicked Candy-Crush-style semicircles of colour on to eyelids. At Phoebe English we saw red cookie-cutter shapes stamped over nails, and at David Koma, Nars artist Andrew Gallimore straightened out the curve of a cat’s eye into sharp-angled points. The highlight was the hair at Mary Katrantzou (right), where L’Oréal Professionnel’s hair stylist Duffy crafted the upper point of a star into the fringe, ruling the lines straight with wooden chopsticks!
