Trager Delaney. Oh so hot right now. London-based Central Saint Martins graduates Kim Trager and Lowell Delaney, who featured in The Daily on Saturday, launched their own line following respective spells at Haider Ackermann and Céline. Their second collection, This is Where it’s At, shows why there is such a buzz around them.
The colours of Seventies ski resorts inspire pieces such as this voluminous hand-quilted pistachio coat, sleek red wool trousers and pristine white shirt, suggestive of a turtleneck. Trager Delaney always weave their collections around a tale, and this time it’s a film script, set in Aspen in the Seventies.
Neil Young and Bill Cosby even make an appearence in the psychodrama about a girl, her mother and grandmother. Behind the crazed tale, though, are well-crafted clothes that are easy to wear without lacking design interest. Trager Delaney is definitely where it’s at.
