OBSERVATIONS AND PHOTOS BY AINE CARLIN
Ever wondered what goes on behind closed doors at The Daily? Well, wonder no more because today we are allowing you a sneak peek inside our Somerset House office, which happens to have the most incredible view of the courtyard. We can observe all the comings and goings from afar, whilst dissecting each collection and waiting for all the catwalk news from our writers and photographers who are out in the field.
Behind the glossy front of the paper is a finely tuned machine that works well into the night to ensure your essential London Fashion Week reading matter is waiting for you the next day, all ready to be devoured.
From editors to designer’s to runners, The Daily is an all hands on deck, incredibly fast paced but ever exciting place to work during fashion week – and the food provided by M&S to fuel the team doesn’t hurt either.
The never ending flow of fashion keeps our spirits high whilst we meet deadlines, process photos and edit articles. It’s tiring work but when that paper hits the streets the following morning it makes those long hours worth it.
