I rarely ever go for wearing one single layer, but when I come across a coat-dress that is as dramatic as this one from Eun Jeong, even a layering obsessive like myself can’t help but succumb to the “less is more” mantra.
This slightly A-line silk gazar trench coat balances nautical stripes with a floral print that is an unprecedented move for this 2008 Fashion Fringe winner.
The collection, entitled “After Flower”, was a step into the print unknown for the label’s designer, Eun Jeong Hong, who wanted to try something different.
Her bold move of going in a print-centric direction paid off, as her dress-coat leapt out to grab my attention from the rail.
All that was needed to go with the coat were these Atalanta Weller wedges that are unbelievably light, as they are made using sports-shoe-derived materials for that extra bit of bounce and comfort.
Eun Jeong and Atalanta Weller are both at the Exhibition, First Floor Showrooms, Somerset House.
