Back on the London catwalk for the fourth time, Suzanne Clements and Inacio Ribeiro are enjoying their spot in the limelight. We love them for their colour and print, and for next winter they’ve given us plenty of both: richer than last season and brought into tactile, embroidered relief, the reds, burgundies and greens – accented occasionally by shocking fuchsia – had us anticipating an A/W 12 collection that will be as colourful as summer promises to be. This season, they’ve added a twist of punk, too, with patent, pointed Jimmy Choos matching bullet-hole-stamped wide belts, and beehives that looked like they’d partied pretty hard. Baggy, black leather shorts and trousers added a younger element to the signature tea dresses, bold checks and silky peachy prints that will keep the pyjama trend going. And everything can go with a cashmere knit – drawn into the body over belted trousers, or worn as a boyfriend-style cardigan, in panels of rich green-blue and burgundy. Indulgent and sumptuous, it eased us nicely into day two.
