M.A.C Senior Artist Lynsey Alexander shares with us the look created at Aquascutum.
“We were in the Lancaster Ballroom at the Savoy Hotel in London and Maestro Lucia Pieroni is the key make up artist today for Aquascutums AW12 show.
She has created a cute, yet provocative, sexy kitten eye which has a Japanese influence, by painting a straight square block on the outer corner of the eye rather than a flick. This was done by using M.A.C Blacktrack Fluidline, and M.A.C False Lash Mascara was then used to enhance the lashes.
We use a mix of eyeshadows in Omega, Copperplate, Concrete and Typographic to create a beautiful, groomed brow, and then lips are painted using French Nougat and Classic Nude, which are the lightest shades from a new M.A.C Lipstick Palette, launching later this year.
M.A.C Strobe Cream was used to highlight the cheek bones and M.A.C Medium Deep Mineralize Skinfinish was dusted over the apples of the cheeks and temples to give the skin warmth and to enhance the contour.
The backstage area is very tight, hot and loud but none the less, people are in good spirits and excited to be part of such a fantastic show.
The models have just done a run through and we managed to get a sneak peek of the new collection…..drool!! We heart Aquascutum!”
