The Exhibition space at London Fashion Week may have been edited to accommodate a whole new show space down in the Embankment Galleries, but combing through the labels on show is still a joy, especially when you get reacquainted with familiar faces.
My favourite animal fiend Yang Du is back with another collection that makes you feel as if anything is impossible, as long as it involves a soft cashmere poncho adorned with a cartoon motif.
Body-conscious sleeveless dresses also make up this knitwear collection that features owls and crocodiles all grinning back at you in a Crayola-crayon palette.
Once again, Yang Du has delved into accessories and come up trumps with rucksacks, both large and small, that take on the form of the body of an owl or the face
of a hippo. Wearing Yang Du’s clothes is like popping a happy pill, and you don’t need too much else to lift your spirits.
