Beauty’s biggest hair heroes can’t stop raving about accessories. And it’s no surprise: Rodarte’s metal stars clips stole the show in New York; and Corrie Nielsen’s oversized feather headpieces set the London tone first thing on Friday.

“I’ve fallen in love with accessories. They are the perfect accent to the looks we are creating,” explained the esteemed hair stylist Sam McKnight backstage at Moschino Cheap and Chic, where he added peach leather twisted bands to a textured Sixties beehive. Only hours earlier, he completed “whipped buns” with chic black headbands for “a touch of turban-esque tidiness” at Clements Ribeiro (above).

At Daks, session stylist Luke Hersheson created the ultimate youthful up-do, securing each model’s hair with two or three barrettes, to rapturous acclaim on Twitter. The word is that these very clips may be purchased on
the high street at Claire’s, no less. Race you there…
