Make-up artist Mathias Van Hooff was assisted by Debbie Finnegan, M.A.C Senior Artist and the M.A.C Pro Team

Inspiration: a woman just escaped from a psychiatric wing; she is slightly lost and crazy.  It is as though she is wearing an incredible outfit then starts ripping and cutting it in a moment of madness – this is reflected in the collection.

The skin was super polished to almost look sweaty to reflect her state of mind. Firstly skin was cleansed with Mineralize Charged Water Cleanser to make sure the skin was super clean. This was followed by Mineralize Charged Water Eye Cream and M.A.C Lip Conditioner to prep the eyes and lips and then M.A.C Strobe Cream to highlight the top of the cheeks, nose and cupid’s bow.

Next M.A.C Full Coverage Foundation was applied with a M.A.C 191 Foundation Brush to buff and polish the product into the skin. M.A.C Studio Moisture Cover Concealer was then put under eyes to even out any  discolouration. The sides of the nostrils and between the brows were sweeped with M.A.C Prep + Prime Finishing Powder. To  complete the skin M.A.C Cream Colour Bases in Tint and Mid-Toned Sepia were used on the cheeks.

To intensify the wildness of the look the eyebrows were designed to look almost feral.  Eyebrows were groomed sharply upwards and set with M.A.C Clear Brow Gel.  There were two different looks – girls either had a wash of M.A.C Pigment Eyeshadow in Cornflower or M.A.C Pigment Eyeshadow in Chocolate Brown – both mixed with M.A.C Water Based Mixing Medium. A light layer of mascara was applied in M.A.C Dazzlelash Mascara in Dazzle Black to lightly tint and colour the lashes.

Lips either had M.A.C Lipstick in Flesh Pot for more fairer skin and for warmer skin tones M.A.C Lipstick in Touch.
