You could almost feel the steel dripping off the catwalk and through your fingers as Lawlor’s fantastical knit army stomped down the catwalk last night. His wonderfully weaved creations land in a vortex somewhere between the Asia and cyber space.
So could Lawlor be fashion’s new knitwear whizz? Certainly under the nurturing wing of independent talent collective On/Off he’s developed a collection as wearable as it is boundary pushing.
“My background has always been in fashion textiles but I wanted to create something more wearable this season,” Lawlor told The LFW Daily blog, “It’s a collection that still encumbers my bespoke knitting techniques but one that will appeal to the modern stylish woman.”
